Would you teachers embrace this new way forward?Todd Frimothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11484954643714312391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683026033175881792.post-54107665797517223442014-07-22T08:21:50.568-07:002014-07-22T08:21:50.568-07:00"Do something everyday that scares you...&quo..."Do something everyday that scares you..." I am not sure where I heard this quote, but it resonates with your idea to push yourself and your students into areas of discomfort and disequilibrium. As for your technology fears, be confident and the best way to learn is from your mistakes. People will follow those who are honest about where they are and those willing to take risks.DBoyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15360967545706503773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683026033175881792.post-33303349235847706812014-07-22T08:20:10.851-07:002014-07-22T08:20:10.851-07:00Thanks, Sean. For the sake of time I had to skim some of your blog, but I will jump to the part where you said that some of your students don't display the skills they need in class but do so very well in their communications with friends via cellphone. Totally agree on that. How to harness their desire to communicate, show them that there is power in communication in life, and that with the proper education their voices will resonate far and wide. I am going to do some reflection on how to make this use of technology more of a reality in my classroom. How long did it take our education system to get to where this has become so evident? Is it just our education system or is it our society's mentality as a majority? After a tough school year, it seems that the majority of our students have lost interest, but is that because our teaching staff has also become tired, so it's really not the students that have lost interest as much as the teachers? If we could keep our teachers refreshed and energized and excited all year, would our students ever get tired?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08865249436500785635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8683026033175881792.post-51247344465657345892014-07-22T08:14:52.686-07:002014-07-22T08:14:52.686-07:00"After the spirit is eroded enough our young ..."After the spirit is eroded enough our young people eventually do what is safe and relatively easy."
